Personal
Rachel was named 2021 and 2022 CRCA First-Team All-American. She loves watching movies, playing Rock Band with friends and family, and filmmaking. Her family is 80 percent coxswains and they named one of her dogs after a boat, Hudson. Rachel and her older sister played softball for 10 years, but their parents wanted them to do a fall sport when they got to high school. Her sister started coxing in the fall and decided to do it in the spring. Rachel and her twin brother went to their sisters national championship race and immediately knew that they wanted to cox and compete. Two years later, they started coxing in the fall of their freshman year and never looked back. Rachel names her personal heroes as her family. She said her parents have sacrificed so much for her to be in a position to compete at one of the highest levels. The long car rides to practices and races, volunteering at food tents, funding for equipment and gear, to the lessons learned and everything in between. She also said she could not be here without her siblings. They always pushed each other, even at the D1 level at different schools and programs. She said there is always the fun competitiveness but also the unconditional support and encouragement to be the best version of themselves.
