Personal
Michael received All-Big Ten Academic Honors in the 2012-2013 rowing season. Michael worked and coached for a year after graduation. In 2018, he lived on both coasts and trained in every boat class besides the elusive triple. His mom, dad, and younger brother have been extremely supportive of his journey. His favorite place is Waupaca, Wis. He attended a learn-to-row camp at UW-Madison during his junior year of high school and liked everything the sport had to offer. He then attended a summer camp and was a recruited walk-on for the class of 2016.
