Through our group insurance program, our member organizations pay significantly less in premiums than for their own separate liability policies with similar high limits (up to $6M per occurrence). By sharing limits with USRowing and other member programs, we can significantly reduce the cost to you while providing the necessary insurance limits to cover your team, your events and our sport. We are happy to continue our partnership with Willis Towers Watson (WTW) for the 5th year running. WTW is the third largest insurance brokerage in the world. As a global leader in the sports insurance industry, WTW has enabled us to keep our 2025 organizational membership rates flat or lower compared to last year as possible despite a continuing hardening of the market.

We have introduced a Safety Incident Reporting form to make it easier for you to share instances of property damage, injuries, or near misses. This allow us to better help you and our insurance providers respond to potential claims, and we will also use the information collected to identify lessons learned, develop a data-driven safety policy, and provide our members with resources to improve safety.
Yes, Plus members have the option to add on Hired/Non-Owned Automobile Physical Damage coverage through their policy with WTW. Through additional partners, Plus members can also request information to get a quote on Directors & Officers Insurance, Crime Insurance, and Equipment Insurance.
Miscellaneous special events and activities that involve groups other than your members (or USRowing members) are included automatically with your membership subject to underwriting review. Please alert USRowing to any events you intend to host that may require specific insurance coverage, such as summer camps at members@usrowing.org
Learn to Row participants receive coverage for up to three days. Clubs must collect a signed waiver from LTR participants to keep on file. If a LTR program is longer than three days, participants must join as members of USRowing. For 2025, we are introducing a new 60-day Learn-to-Row membership for just $10. This will cover new rowers at a greatly reduced to try out our sport.
Should you need to add an additional insured or certificate holder, complete the COI request form filling out the required section of Additional Insureds/Certificates Holders. Follow the above instructions to request your COI.
