Personal
Ava won the Most Outstanding Women's Varsity Rower Award at Whitemarsh Boat Club in 2019. She enjoys skiing and running. She has two Boston Terriers. Her dad is a ski patrolman, and she grew up skiing all over the country and especially at their favorite East Coast mountain, Whiteface in Lake Placid, N.Y. Ava danced in a ballet company for 12 years prior to rowing. Growing up outside of Philadelphia and close to Boathouse Row, she was surrounded by rowing and started rowing for Whitemarsh Boat Club the fall of her freshman year of high school and eventually for her high school team, Harriton, and Vesper Boat Club.
